JUNE
In collaboration with National Action Committee on Read Campaign of the Federal Ministry of Education, we organized and coordinated an academic competition and variety shows to celebrate the Day of the African Child.

  • Explore Club also participated in health conference organized by Federal Ministry of Health in Abuja.
  • Our organization participated in the ICPC Education Forum which held in Abuja.

 

OCTOBER

Explore Club Nigeria was the only  youth focused Non Governmental Organisation  that participated in the  Nigeria’s 50th Anniversary National Parade on the first of October. We also  marked the day with a reading activity captioned  “Read-On-Ride”.

  • Explore Club organized a very impressive Academic/Reading competition between Anglican Girls’ Grammar School Apo and Federal Government Boys’ College Garki. The competition featured subjects based quiz, pick and speak, poetry and reading. Prizes were given out to winners in the various areas.

Explore Club brought together seven schools from FCT and Nassarawa State in an academic competition in honour of Dr. Jerry Anthony Agada, the President, Association of Nigerian Authors, Former Minister of State for Education  and Chairman of the Board of National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE).

The competition was declared open by the Honorable Minister of State for Education, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi represented by the Director, Basic and Secondary department of the Federal Ministry of Education Alhaji Garba Bello. The occasion was chaired by the Executive Secretary NCCE, Prof. M.I. Junaid represented by Dr. Ojo, a Director in the Commission.


Prizes were given out to winners and all participants received a book gift from Dr. Agada. The programe was supported by NCCE, and National Library of Nigeria. The media – NTA, AIT, Radio Nigeria, Vision FM, Kapital FM were all in attendance.
