On Saturday, the 29th day of March, 2014, Explore volunteers executed an environmental cleaning exercise at 1st avenue by Kado-Buiko village in Gwarinpa Housing Estate, Abuja. The event which featured awareness campaign on the benefits of cleanliness, healthy living and clean environment was very successful and impactful. 


This year’s Keep – A – Child – In – School  held at LEA Primary School Mpape in Bwari Area Council of FCT.   Keep-In-School (KIS) is an educational outreach programme aimed at increasing access, enrollment and retention of pupils in school. This is done by soliciting support to curb the plight of indigent primary school children.  

During the event, educational, teaching and learning materials which included school uniforms, foot wears, text books, exercise books, writing materials and many more were distributed to the pupils.
Goodwill messages came from the Village Head, The Director FCT Universal Basic Education Board, and many other special guests.


We marked the 2014 World Reading Day. World Reading Day seeks to inspire people to turn off the TV, logoff the net, put away the video games & ignore all the other myriad distractions of modern life and enjoy the simple pleasure of reading a book instead.

The programme which involved more than 1,200 students featured; Chain reading among students, teachers, parents and guests, Presentation of poetry, Health talk on the Ebola Virus Disease, and Motivational talk on the benefits of reading.
The event held on Thursday, 30th October, 2014 by 11am at Government Secondary School Karu, Abuja.


Our organization paid a courtesy/ familiarization visit to Nigeria National Volunteer Service during which we shared experiences on projects / programmes to promote volunteering in Nigeria. We also participated actively in the 2014 International Volunteers Day which held on 5th December, 2014.

As a registered NGO with Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC), we participated in all ICPC organised fora in 2014.
Explore Club is also registered with Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and we have been partnering with the Ministry in all their Child Development Programmes.
